Healthy Marraiges

Tomorrow we will finish the "Together" series with a message about healthy marriages.  We will look at God's original blue-print that was set fourth as early as Adam and Eve.  You are the best advertisement we have... invite someone to the 9AM or !0:45AM service and come early for coffee and donuts.

"Together" Seminar

There are only about 14 spots left for the Relationship Seminar at Englewood this weekend.  It is tomorrow (Saturday) at 9AM in the student center.  Suggested donation of $15.00 per couple with childcare and a great brunch provided.

NY City Missions Trip

This weekend Partnership International has a team in the big apple.  Brandon will be heading this up and leading the trip as well as preparing for future teams.  Our relationships in NY have really grown and God continues to grow the vision of P.I. in that city.  Pray for the team this week when you have a chance.  They have a huge week of ministry planned!

Doral "Blue Monster"

Look close and you can see me hanging out with our awesome winning team.  (we won the lowest division... kings of the scrubs)   Jeanne and I had a lot of fun last week in Miami. 

What a great cause as well... I love the "Speed the Light" missions approach.  Every Pastor should get behind this awesome program to equip our Missionaries. 

Get Lost

I have spent most of my Christian life looking toward the next thing, being visionary.  It is something God put in me early and He has continued to grow me in Vision.  However, about five years ago God began to shift me into a new focus.  At first it seemed counter productive to the pursuit of vision but it has actually been a huge asset.  God simply spoke to me and told me to "get lost" in what was in front of me.  To live in the moment and to serve him with a self abandonment.  In doing so, excellence was raised and divine set-ups materialized. This one thing has taken the pressure off me and put it on God, which is where it belongs.

Most people fail to maximize this moment because they are too busy looking for the next one. You see, vision is a gift but it is really only an elementary beginning.  I have come to believe that a Christian should resembles more of a "guided wanderer" than a confident captain following a course.  He/she is less interested in arriving at a destination and more concerned with the companionship of Jesus on the journey. Others beg for promotions and try to find an angle but the faithful get lost in the story and they let God turn the page to the next chapter. 

*Daily Execution:

• Stop begging for more visionary details
• Live in the revelation you have been given
• Let God set all time lines through the leadership of the Holy Spirit
• Bloom where you are planted,  obey the parable of the talents
• Grow relationally because true Kingdom advancement flows relationally
• Develop your gifts because your going to need them

What a week it has been.  A great mission conference in Miami followed by one of the best Sundays of the year at Englewood.  I am so thankful to be involved in kingdom work and to be in the center of God's will.  Thanks for your prayers and interest.
